Counseling for children
Hosparus is a national leader in the provision of grief and loss counseling for children. Through our Hosparus Grief Counseling Center, we offer an array of counseling options to help the youngest among us to cope with the death of a loved one.

Workshop for children. The Hosparus Grief Counseling Center offers the Littles Group workshop for children ages 3 to 5.
Littles Group workshop for families with pre-schoolers. The Littles Group workshop is a nationally recognized program for children ages 3 to 5 and their parents/guardians. We promote adaptive, age-appropriate understanding for coping with death. The Littles Group workshop received the Award of Excellence in Education presented by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in 1999.
Individual and family counseling. Child and adolescent specialists can provide an initial assessment and, in cooperation with parents, design support that best fits their individual and family needs.
Grief Connection. What are you waiting for? Get connected! The Grief Connection is a peer-based program for families with children ages 6-17. The Grief Connection is a one-of-a-kind program where children can meet other children, other teens and other parents who share in what is one of the most serious and important times for their families. Combining education with expressive techniques, the Grief Connection is a special way for families to complete some very important work. Meets every second and fourth Thursday of the month. Expressive therapy. Whether used in individual, family or group counseling, expressive therapy provides relief through the physical expression of powerful thoughts and emotions. Once outside, one can look at what is there and understand it from different perspectives to discover new insights. These same techniques that help express and discover, also provide concrete skills to use later when continuing to work through grief.
