Every year, Hosparus provides quality end-of-life care and bereavement services to nearly 6,000 patients and their families in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Thanks to your generous donations, Hosparus cares for those who need us most, regardless of their ability to pay.
Here to assist. Hosparus staff members provide a wide range of services as part of end-of-life care.
Undesignated donations from generous supporters such as you will go to support our greatest needs. Contributions support Hosparus programs such as bereavement services for families who have lost loved ones, the Kourageous Kids children's hospice program and care for those unable to pay for services.
There are several ways you can help us help:

- Attending and/or supporting a Hosparus fundraising event.
- Recognizing a Hosparus "Shining Star."
- Purchasing Hosparus merchandise.

Memorials and direct donations
Many donations are graciously given by individuals in memory of loved ones who have died. When a memorial gift is given, the bereaved family is sent notification of the kind gift, and the donor receives an acknowledgment for tax purposes.
Creative companionship. A visit by a friendly companion animal can make a patient's day.
We also receive direct donations through community and corporate gifts, grants, fund raisers and support from Metro United Way. These gifts help us provide the quality end-of-life care and bereavement services to patients and their families regardless of their ability to pay.
We accept personal or company checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and direct payment. Also, remember to check with your employer about matching gifts.
Planned giving and bequests: Leave your legacy to Hosparus
A bequest is a provision in a will that designates one or more beneficiaries of an estate's assets. You can support Hosparus with a specific dollar amount donation or a percentage of the total estate.
By naming Hosparus in your will, estate or financial plan, you will receive the honor of being enrolled in the Hosparus Autumn Leaf Society. Attend a Hosparus special event
From our annual Candle Glow Gala in Louisville to our teas in Campbellsville and Elizabethtown to a Dancing with the Stars competition in Starlight, Ind., there's bound to be a Hosparus event that's right for you. Among all the fun and festivities, proceeds benefit our patients and their families. Visit our "Special events" page to learn more.
Recognize a Hosparus Shining Star
Patients and families often ask how they can thank their Hosparus caregivers. You may choose to recognize them by making a financial donation through our Hosparus Shining Star program. The program allows you to make a contribution in honor of a Hosparus team member who made a difference in your care or the care of someone you love. At the bottom of this page, you’ll find a Shining Star form.
