Show your support today by donating online!

Every year, Hosparus organizations provide quality end-of-life care and bereavement services to more than 5,000 patients and their families in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. While many patients have insurance that covers the cost of hospice care, some do not. Through your financial support, Hosparus is able to provide care to those in need regardless of their ability to pay.

There are many ways to help. There are several ways you can help us help families in your area cope with life-limiting illnesses and their aftermath:

  • Direct donations.
  • Planned giving and bequests.
  • Purchasing Hosparus merchandise.
  • Donating items and making purchases at our three thrift shops.

See links to our donation privacy notice, our latest annual report and issues of our donor newsletters at the bottom of this page. Visit Guidestar for a copy of our most recent 990 form.

Direct donations

Many donations are graciously given by individuals in memory of loved ones who have died. When a memorial gift is given, the bereaved family is sent an announcement of the gift and the donor receives an acknowledgment for tax purposes.

We also receive direct donations through community and corporate gifts, grants, fund raisers and support from Metro United Way. These gifts help us provide the quality end-of-life care and bereavement services described throughout this website.

Donations can be made directly to the hospice in your area. We accept personal or company checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and direct payment.

Planned giving and bequests: Put your wishes in your will

A bequest is a provision in a will that designates one or more beneficiaries of an estate's assets. You can support a nonprofit organization with a specific dollar amount donation or a percentage of the total estate.

By naming Hosparus in your will, estate or financial plan, you will be enrolled in the Hospice Legacy Society. To discuss planned-giving options and become a member of the Hospice Legacy Society, contact Bob Mueller, vice president of advancement, at (502) 719-8921 or toll-free at (800) 264-0521 or bmueller@hosparus.org.
