Nurses
"This type of nursing gives you the opportunity to really get to know your patients. You're part of a team that provides total care, including physical, emotional and spiritual support." - Hosparus nurse, Elizabethtown.
Our registered nurses and licensed practical nurses are educated in caring for patients with life-limiting illnesses and teach hands-on skills to family members. The patient's nurse consults regularly with the patient's physician to report any changes in the patient's condition and receive new orders for the patient's care.

The best care available. Hosparus nurses are specially trained in end-of-life care.
The nurse evaluates the patient's pain and other symptoms as well as nutritional needs, skin and mouth condition, bowel and bladder function, response to medications and treatments, and need for special equipment. The nurse watches for any change in condition and lets the patient and family know what to expect as the disease progresses.
Our nurses teach practical, necessary skills for daily care, while offering guidance and encouragement. Each nurse undergoes ongoing training for updating medical skills in hospice and palliative care.
In addition to expert medical training and skill, our nurses bring a quality of personal commitment and integrity to their care. Talk to a Hosparus nurse.
