Spiritual care
"I like the way you listen. I know I'm somebody with you." These words from a patient to his Hosparus chaplain reflect the core hopes of our Spiritual Care Department.

Getting through. Hosparus offers specially trained spiritual care staff.
Our goal is to meet the unique emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their families/caregivers who are facing life-limiting illnesses. Our chaplains are highly trained in counseling, theology, clinical pastoral education and concerns unique to hospice care.
With an accepting and non-judgmental presence, chaplains listen to life stories, celebrate the joys, share the pain and comfort the grieving. Together, we face the issues related to the meaning of living and dying, death and beyond.
Chaplains are available to visit each of our patients and their families. Spiritual care is never imposed, nor preachy. Rather, it is relational and authentic. We enter into personal journeys of hope and despair, belief and doubt, presence and mystery.
